What are the steps to perform an automatic landing on the DJI Air 3S: The DJI Air 3S automatic landing allows the aircraft to descend in a controlled manner, ensuring safe contact with the ground. To initiate this process, the user must press the landing button in the DJI Fly app and hold it until the action is confirmed. Before proceeding, it is crucial for the pilot to check the landing area, ensuring there are no obstacles, inclined surfaces, or elements that could compromise the drone's stability upon landing.
During the descent, the down-field vision sensors are activated to analyze the terrain and adjust the approach speed, avoiding rough landings. If the system detects an uneven or unstable surface, the aircraft can automatically adjust its position or even reject the landing if it deems it unsafe. In this case, the pilot must select a new landing point or perform the maneuver manually.
Once the drone has touched down, the motors automatically shut down to prevent unexpected movements.
